Thomas Flanagan Stained Glass
I became captivated by the power of stained glass while living in a Victorian neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Every home seemed to have some space dedicated to decorative glass. I was also studying philosophy at the time; the two seemed so compatible that I bought a glass cutter and some scraps of colored glass and began tinkering in my study. I suppose I've always been stuck in the nineteenth century since much of my work harks to that era.
I've never been interested in creating "art". My only goal in stained glass is to create beautiful objects that will be eminently pleasing to the eye and offer some respite to the weary soul.
